The cold is near and with it the sweet excuse to have a nice cup of steaming coffee in front of the fireplace. But if you’re tired of the typical espresso, we have for you 5 delicious coffee recipes that combine the flavor and aroma of your favorite drink with other Christmas ingredients:

Coffee Punch

Prepare four cups of short coffee and pour them into a saucepan on low heat. Add two cinnamon sticks and a few grams of orange peel. Remove them when the drink starts to aromatize. Then, put a rum glass. After that, add four tablespoons of condensed milk and four egg yolks to the saucepan until is thick enough.

Serve it hot in punch glasses and enjoy your winter drink!

Ginger coffee

This family-friendly coffee drink is perfect for cold climates and when you have a sweet tooth. Mix four tablespoons of ground coffee with a pinch of ginger. Prepare a concentrated coffee. Then, place four teaspoons of honey at the bottom of each cup before serving. Pour the coffee and decorate it with a teaspoon of lightly whipped cream.

Carajillo

Although cold is not very common in Cuba, Carajillo is one of the most popular drinks on the island. It is said that this beverage came from Spain, where people also drink a lot during festivities, especially in the north. It’s not a recipe for kids, so be careful while you serve!

To taste this coffee drink in the winter, you must first prepare a loaded espresso. In a saucepan over an intermediate heat, mix a glass of brandy, a spoonful of sugar (preferably brown), a lemon rind and three grains of coffee. As it heats up, add the espresso and serve it immediately. Cheers!

Irish Coffee

Mix 100 ml of whiskey with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat, until the sugar melts. Add the whiskey and then a cup of hot espresso in a shot glass.

To give it that winter touch, you must add liquid cream. But don’t even think about beating it with coffee! The secret is to pour it on the back of a spoon so that it falls slowly and does not mix with the drink, forming a thick layer.

Cappuccino with liqueur

If you want to have a holiday party for four or more adults, you’ll need seven cups of strong hot coffee, two tablespoons of sugar, nine tablespoons of milk, and three tablespoons of coffee liquor.

You must mix all the ingredients with the help of bars until you get a foam. Serve the drink immediately and sprinkle it with ground cinnamon.
