Every Cup Of Organic Fair Trade Coffee You Drink

You Help Lift The Lives Of Filipino Coffee Farmers

Enjoy the Exotic Taste and Aroma of Filipino Organic Fair Trade Coffee

Filipino Organic Fair Trade Coffee is one of the most exotic, delicious, and rustic products in Asia. Its production goes back as far as the mid-1700s when the first Spanish friars introduced the first coffee bean. After centuries of Spanish colonial rule, Filipinos developed a taste for coffee and how to grow it.

Filipino coffee was profitable, even becoming one of the best in the world at one point. Even then, it stays as a small business after all these years.

The Filipino-American Mission to Help

Bean to Mug is coordinated by its president and founder, Marc Andrei A. Abucejo. Marc was born in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao in the Philippines. From this sunny Southern province, he moved to California in 2007 to join his other brethren. Even with his migration to live the American Dream, his heart always hoped he could keep his connection alive with his homeland.

The Bean to Mug History

In 2017, our Filipino organic whole bean fair trade coffee first participated in the Global Specialty Coffee Expo at Seattle Washington. After winning the local coffee quality grading competition in the Philippines, it was time to conquer the discerning palates of the world.

Our organic coffee’s natural properties stood out. Its delicious aroma was enticing to tasters. Its dense and robust flavors left the judges stunned.

This was a surprise to many. It was a powerful coffee revolution for the Western coffee world. Filipino coffee gave many of the coffee experts something they could talk about.

It is an overwhelming feeling: to see people enjoying your local coffee that farmers worked hard for. It is our delicious secret. Now we’re giving it to the rest of the world to taste in your mornings.

First Filipino Organic Fair Trade Coffee in the US

Our project was born out of hard work, sheer will, and dedication to value. Bean to Mug is the first fair trade coffee product straight from the Philippines to the United States and Canada.

Three years of tireless work put us here. We were able to introduce our fine blend of organic whole bean coffee to the North American market in 2018. Thanks to its acceptance by the USDA, we are ready to give the world our treasured coffee.

We grew with our own little steps – and still growing more each day. This allows us to be an example to our fellow Filipinos who are looking to show the world how beautiful our coffee culture is.

Every sip is a little piece of Filipino culture given to you. We’ll wake you up with every cup.

Drink a Cup of Fair Trade Coffee and Help Filipino Farmers Thrive

Our coffee beans are bought at a premium price. The farmers themselves set this price at a standard they know will help. By doing so, Bean To Mug establishes a direct, continuous, and harmonious relationship between producers and distributors.

Farmers. Roasters. Other Producers.

We care about everyone who makes the coffee chain possible. We believe in sustainable and dignified development for everyone, especially for the small farmers.

As coffee ambassadors from the Philippines, we are against any and all exploitation, manipulation, and maltreatment of coffee workers. We are not a simple corporate entity out to make big money. We are a big family united by our love for Philippine organic coffee.
